Philosophy 'It's all in the details' 'Photography is a business of emotion' I have been fascinated with photography since I started taking pictures at an early age with my sister's Kodak Brownie. I later attended Ryerson University in Toronto and recieved a degree in still photography with studies in graphic design and film. I have been a working photographer ever since ,first in Toronto and then in Vancouver when I returned to my hometown several years ago. Photography is all about emotion. Finding the magic in a moment, in light, in an angle that brings the story to life whether that story is the exquisite beauty of a thing, how it feels to be in a particular space, or the essential moment that reveals another person. It is the bringing forward of an energy that wasn't defined previously. For almost as long as my memory photography has been the core of my professional and creative life. I still have that old Brownie camera. |
